Sharing is Caring

Sharing is caring.  Caring is sharing.  It’s as simple as that.  If something swoons my taste buds, I share.  If I found a great place to shop, I share.  I can’t help it.  Sharing makes me happy!  Everytime I bring something home, especially if it’s food and it’s irresistibly good, I always never forget to share and a majority of the time I will demand insist that you take a bite.  “Oh c’mon…it’s soooo good!  Mmmm!  OMG…you have to try it.  Just a little bit.  Here!”

I come across quite a few blogs on a daily basis and among other photography blogs that I visit, I occasionally come across family blogs and for awhile now, the concept has been brewing in my head until the conception of Little Miss Mya.  I [heart] this blog where I can let loose and share anything from family photos, stories, ideas to photography tips and finds.  I love it and because I love it…I want to SHARE!  I couldn’t help but to share this great idea with family and friends and I even offered a couple of friends some help setting up a blog since I’ve been living on it for so long!  I did some research and looked at different blogging forums like Blogger, WordPress, Typepad, etc. and stumbled upon a hidden gem!  What???  I couldn’t believe my eyes!  What was better than a blog was a website and who would’ve thunk there were family websites available and it was user friendly!  Shutterfly offers family websites called Share Site!  I promise this is the best thing to happen since deep fried twinkies, so check it out, sign up and connect!

Laker Girl

A toddler + a megaphone = N.O.I.S.E.!  Normally, it’s inappropriate but because we’re celebrating the Laker’s victory, it’s the norm around here.  Mya went around screamin’ and hollerin’, “Go La-kers!  Go Lak-ers!” all day today.  Ughhh, what a fairweathered fan! : P  The Lakers are on top again representin’ for Los Angeles and I’m not mad!  The purple and gold seemed to grow on Mya after seeing it everywhere.  Purple and gold on bulletin boards, on clothes, on flags…it was everywhere!   She had her Lakers cheerleading outfit on all day today and didn’t even want to take it off at the end of the night to jump into her jammies.  By the end of the day, she came up with cute little choreographed cheers with her pom pom’s and her megaphone.  It was so hard not to laugh out loud watching her, because it’s the cutest thing ever.  I don’t remember teaching her anything cheer, so  I wonder where she picked it up from.  Anyway, this one is for Uncle Aaron who is the biggest Laker fan we know!  You officially own bragging rights for a whole year! Now, how ’bout them Lakers!?

Olivia’s Recital

It’s frequent.  Dim Sum rendezvous with girlfriends on a Sunday morning.  Conversing over hot jasmine tea and siu mai.  It’s just what I needed to get me through the day today.  Today was the usual – busy, busy and boy were we busy!  I had the opportunity to photograph one of my first newborns, made my way to San Juan Capistrano for a family shoot and even managed to make the last half of Olivia’s recital.  Afterwards, the plan was to make it out to dinner with a few more friends,  but I just could not make it.  I made 4 out of 5, so not bad!  Although I missed Olivia’s performance the first half of the recital, Mya was there to see and root for her!  “How did Olivia do?”, I asked.  Mya’s eyes lit up and she said, “Olivia did good!”  I’m sad I missed it, but here is Little Miss Mya and one of her besties…

Little Miss Fashionista

It’s routine.  Everytime I come home with new clothes, Mya would always model the clothes for me.  “We gotta make sure it fits!”, I always exclaim but in all honesty, I just want to see her strut her pint-sized self for me.   We’ve been doing this ever since she started walking and now she’s quite good at striking different poses to get the “ooh’s and ahh’s” out of me.

Just recently, Little Miss Fashionista had the opportunity to model for the Kidster Couture Fashion Show in Los Angeles at the 2009 Baby & Tween Celebration.  This was the 2nd annual event, but I recently found out that this will be their last. : (  Mya did good the first day but better the second day.  She had the walk and the pose down, but we couldn’t get her to smile!  I’m not sure what happened…perhaps she had a bit of stage fright?  At the end of the day, Mya loved being a part of the fashion show and of course we’re the proudest parents!
