To wrap up Little Miss Mya’s birthday, we thought it would be nice to end the night off by rounding up some of her little friends for bowling. It was so funny to see a bunch of little girls bowl with 6 lb balls! It was a first for Mya along with Olivia, Avery and Vanessa but they did great! There were a few wipe outs throughout the night, but they had a blast!

Vanessa has such a big personality. This little girl was doing the “robot”! It was comedy!

Go Avery!

Itty bitty bowling shoes!

Look at the form on Uncle Kevin!

Ooooh…wipe out!!!!

Woo hoo!

The C.R.E.W.

Mya had a memorable night! We wanna thank those of you who came out to play with us. You all are fabulous! ; ) Keep posted on Little Miss Birthday – Part IV… a Spooktacular Halloween Birthday Bash that will knock your socks off!
Celebrating a birthday at school…especially a pre-school is apparently a big deal. Mya told me the morning of her birthday that she was going to have a cake at school. I asked her who was going to get her the cake and she said, “You!” “Me??? I’m not gonna get you cake.” “Yes, you are!!” So, to follow the protocol we brought Mya her own special cupcake plus two additional dozens for her little friends. She was full of excitement when we showed up that she couldn’t stop smiling the entire time.
Miss Sandra had Mya pick out six of her friends to sit next to her at her table…

Everyone sang Happy Birthday and Mya handed out goody bags…

I’m glad the kids were able to play afterwards and work off all of that sugar!

24 cupcakes…24 goody bags and a Happy Birthday song later…

We have a pretty happy 4 year old!
Mya loves getting mail in her name…even junk mail! Her eyes always light up as if it was a gift of some sort. Hilarious! This time was different. It wasn’t junk mail. It was a package from one of her favorite cousins, Adriyel all the way from Cincinnati, Ohio! This little girl could hardly contain herself and almost flipped as she busted through the package.

A birthday card fit for Little Miss Mya! It had an iron-on transfer inside. So cute!

Glitter…

…and matching nail polish…

…perfect for the girly girl that she is!
Mya wants to give a big shout out and a fat thank you to Adriyel for the birthday gift! She L.O.V.E.S. it!!! We don’t care what anyone says about you, Adriyel…you are the sweetest! ; )
Little Miss Mya is officially a little BIG girl today turning all of 4 years old! There is so much to blog about and of course so many images to post, so check back for more as I attempt to catch up! For now, we’ll leave you with a sneak peak of the birthday “gurr” as Mya would say…

We headed on over to The Pumpkin Factory today, a local pumpkin patch to make sure we partake in all the festivities before it’s gone. We’re pretty good at not letting the cat out of the bag by keeping things on the hush hush with special trips like these, but I made the mistake of telling Mya today and of course…all day…repetitively…it was “Are we gonna go to the pumpkin patch? Are we? Are we? Huh? Huh? Huh?” So yes, it was one of those days and we even threaten not to take her if she asks just one more time. “Threaten?”, you ask. Well, yes. That’s just what parents do. It worked, because she didn’t dare mention pumpkin or patch until we got there that evening.
We met up with Mya’s little buddy – Derrick. Derrick enjoyed the pumpkin patch very much I must say. He went around picking up miniature pumpkins as miniature as he was. Before they knew it, Derrick and Mya was strapped onto a couple of ponies. Derrick was hesitant at first, but made it through the ride. I think he conquered his fear a little, but when asked if he wanted to go on again, he said “No, no more.” Lol! Six months ago, Mya would not have walked within a 10 feet radius of those ponies, but today she was gung-ho about it and couldn’t wait to get on it. It’s funny how kids change…sometimes overnight…it seems…

Guess what?
Look…
…closer…

…a little closer…
…yes…that’s Ali Landry…

…and…
…Little Miss Mya!!!

We received a sweet surprise this morning when a package arrived from Tralala Inc. Mya makes her appearance in Child Style Magazine for their Fall 2009 Premier Issue. Along with the ad, there is a feature on the fabulously talented woman behind Tralala Inc., Anastasia Backstrand (pictured on the upper right hand corner below) who is responsible for the uber fabulous French-inspired clothing line.
We’re so proud of our big little girl!! Yipeee!!!!

The past few months, Mya has learned the importance of earning a dollar, that beauty is not only superficial but exists within, that she needs to be a “lover” and not a “fighter” and she also learned that repetitive use of the word “righhhht???” after every sentence annoys the crap out of mommy. After explaining to her that she doesn’t need to use that word all the time, she insisted on a confirmation. “Mommy, I’m not going to say “right” anymore…”
“…righhhhhhht???”
