Last day of the month…whew!!! It is tough keeping up with life as it happens! It’s Sunday and we have a rendezvous with my girlfriends and the kiddos at….drumrolls pleaaaase…..Dim Sum! Duhhh!!! Here’s Part I of II from our morning…

Yes…this is the face…the face of a DIM SUM EATIN’ FOOL…whhhaat????

Later on that night, we went over to Shelia’s for Austin’s 17th Birthday! I cannot believe he is SEVENTEEN! If anything or anyone reminds us of how old we are…it’s definitely birthdays and kids…and even worse…a birthday for a kid who isn’t a kid anymore!

We love Miss Avery! Avery is our Goddaughter who is nine months younger than Mya is….but you can’t even tell how far apart they are which is awesome! Mya loves her to pieces! I love the sass that Avery brings to the table. Today she said she loves Justin Bieber. I then asked her if she was going to marry him one day and she said, “Yes!” Avery is also the human tape recorder! She’s been that way ever since we can remember! Her speech has developed so well and I am amazed at how much she’s picked up in the last year and a half! Here’s Avery in all of her sassyness!
*I love Avery’s skin tone because she has the best kind of skin tone for camera. I never have to edit too much to get results like these…beautiful!

Who is your bestfriend…other than Mya and Al…typical response from you!
I have many best friends!
One being Terra…my BFF from high school! We were the same kind…loved the same type of clothes…had the same type of humor…and after awhile…we started to acquire the same kind o’ look. You know what they say about best friends - they start to look alike after awhile! Here is a recent picture of Mini Terra and Mini Navy…

I recently found a wonderful website called Formspring.me where anyone can ask us any question…anonymously! I think it’s a clever idea and I love it! Some of these questions are a bit challenging and I find myself stumped at times, but that’s the fun part!
Do you plan on having more children? Do you plan on getting married? Can you share baby pictures of Mya? I bet she was GORGEOUS!
Yes, one day we would like to have more children. One more according to Al and a dozen more according to me…lol! Of course, that’s the dreamer in me! We’re in the midst of planning our wedding finally after over a decade. If not this summer, definitely next summer! I have tons of Mya’s baby pictures from my amateur photographer days. Mya…gorgeous? Through these mommy goggles of mine? Of course! These goggles are pretty thick! Lol!

Here’s one of Mya and the pilot right in front of the cockpit of the airplane. We were coming back from Kansas and she was 7 months old…

Every week, we took Mya to Gymboree where they had age appropriate and kid friendly activities. She loved everything about that place…

For Throwback Tuesday today, I’m throwin’ it back…waaaaay back…all the way back to…2005! The best thing we did for us while I was pregnant with Mya was a 3D/4D ultrasound. I remember doing this right before we had our baby shower and we were able to do it just in time to have the pictures at our shower to show family and friends. Along with pictures, we were also given a DVD of the entire session which was awesome. Grandma Patty and Auntie Shelia came along for the ultrasound and sat in a dim room with us while the ultrasound tech projected the entire session onto the wall for us to watch. I remember I couldn’t help but to cry when I saw Mya’s little face on the screen. It was amazing!

Monkey Jammies…Part II! Here’s Mya in another set of monkey jammers along with a coordinating mask…which I think is one of the freakiest looking masks ever. I think we picked this mask up when we went to the Santa Ana Zoo. Anyhow, she loves the mask. Creepy.

Here I go chasing clouds again. I don’t know what it is about the sky and the clouds…but whatever it is…I find it fascinating. Maybe it’s because my head is there half of the time….just maybe.

I love Southern California! Why…you ask? Because we’re only minutes away from the beach and less than a couple of hours away from the mountains…where there’s snow! Kevin and Brandi invited us up for a snow day in Big Bear, so we took ‘em up on that offer. Mya and I took a road trip with Derrick, Gezal and DL on a one day turnaround trip and let me tell you… it well worth it! Mya enjoyed the day even though it was short lived. The oooh’s and awww’s began halfway up the mountain when we started seeing powder. It was just beautiful and I couldn’t believe we didn’t have to travel far to be in a completely different climate and surrounding. The trip was a success and I say success because we made it back in one piece. I really thought I was going to die coming down that mountain that night. Note to self: Never…ever ever drive to or from Big Bear at night!!! The fog was soooo thick, we couldn’t see even a foot past our vehicle. Thank you, Derrick and Gezal for getting us back safely! We definitely learned our lesson! Whew! Despite the drive back, the trip was wonderful! So wonderful…that we’re thinking about heading back again soon!
Now, who wants to go???
