May 7, 2010 - 2:06 am MarieSam Sanchez - Dear Tommy, See above, take notes, replicate. Thank you. Love, The Wife.

May 8, 2010 - 8:35 pm Titi Brandi - Yeah, well...not as easy as you think. Your Uncle Kevin wouldn't even know what to do with this. I so wish Kevin could cook as good as your daddy, Mya...I hope you enjoyed that meat girly!

ME…in action!

May 7, 2010 - 2:08 am MarieSam Sanchez - Seriously, I think you're the sexiest photographer I've seen at work! Get em'!

May 11, 2010 - 10:24 am Titi Brandi - Well...I wouldn't go as far as to say what MarieSam said about the sexiest, but since I'm still on the large side for now you are hands down the sexiest photographer! But, watch out...I'm coming right behind you!!!!!

May 11, 2010 - 11:21 am Gezal - I vote for Navy!!

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Asian food…whether it’s Khmer…Vietnamese…or Thai food.  I really do miss my mother’s home cooking and I remember those days when I used to come home from school hungry with an appetite bigger than a lion’s looking forward to what was steaming in the pot on the stove.  So…I do have cravings…at least once a week for anything that reminds me of my childhood days.

Once a week after I pick Mya up from school…we splurge and eat out.  Each time, we try to pick a place we haven’t gone to before but because mama has her cravings, we frequent spots like the sushi bar at Kabuki’s or indulge in the pad thai at Sweetie Thai.  Well, today it was Sweetie Thai…again.  Pad See Ew with shrimp…again.  Thai iced tea….again.  Lucky  me…Mya doesn’t seem to mind.  In fact…I think she prefers it.  There’s not a week that goes by without her asking for dim sum and I always have to remind her that dim sum are usually on Sundays for us.  That’s my child alright!  What can you say?  Like mother…like daughter.

April 29, 2010 - 9:34 am CourtneyCourtney - Navy Sou! You should know that I check into your site here all the time, because your photos make me so HAPPY!!! Mya is so beautiful, fresh and fashionable, and your photography just plain rocks. Keep 'em coming!! Can't wait to see what adventures Mya gets into next!!

April 30, 2010 - 10:58 pm Titi Brandi - When it comes to eating out, Mya you eat better than most people. Your mom sure knows how to pick some great places to eat. You look like you enjoyed it, Miss Mya. Love you!

May 1, 2010 - 12:10 am MarieSam Sanchez - Mmm... Sweetie Thai is yummy! Have you tried Thai BBQ across from the Cerritos Mall ~ another one of our favs! :)

May 7, 2010 - 8:30 am Navy Sou - Thank you guys! Mariesam, we are still crossing off our list as we visit these restaurants one by one. It's like a hidden gem! We still have to visit Shabu Shabu and the Pho we will add Thai BBQ to the list! ;)

Today was Miss Avery’s first day of preschool.  It’s a big deal…you know!  It’s never too early for an education, so a head start is always good to take advantage of.  Kids this young absorb so many things ~ it’s really mind boggling to know how much information they can obtain.  Sometimes…a bit scary to know what they are capable of if we as parents weren’t here to steer them in the right direction.  Another reason why education is important!

Well…Miss Avery did very well on her first day from what she reported.  I asked her to call me after school and she did just that.  I heard she made new friends and even forgot that her parents were there when she got dropped off at school. She’s off to a good start!

April 28, 2010 - 12:56 pm Ashley - Precious! What awesome pictures!!

April 30, 2010 - 11:01 pm Titi Brandi - Thank you so much for this. It's nice to see pictures like this and not be the one taking them. You really did great on these pictures, Navy. Your such an awesome GODMOTHER! Thank you for taking Avery for a few hours. She told me she had a great time...but failed to mention pictures?!?!?

April 30, 2010 - 11:04 pm Titi Brandi - I can't stop looking at these pictures. I love them! Thank you Mya for sharing this special day with Avery, she was really looking forward to her evening with you.

May 1, 2010 - 12:24 am MarieSam Sanchez - These are awesome, Avery is so cute and that backpack is adorable! :)

May 4, 2010 - 8:01 pm Navy Sou - You're very welcomed, Brandi!

Peek-a-boo!  I see you!

We had a great weekend and we wanted to end it by treating the Little Miss to something that only comes around once a year…the local carnival.  Our Sunday night ended with a ferris wheel…a funnel cake and even a couple of fish to take home.  It was a perfect way to end the weekend!

What are the odds of gettin’ a ball into one of those goldfish bowls?  Slim…ain’t it?  Well…it must have been Mya’s lucky day because she made one in on her 5th toss all by herself!

Every Saturday…at 1:00pm…right smack dab in the middle of the day…is when Miss Mya has dance class.  It is really a challenge to balance all of her extracurricular activities with other things going on on the daily but we manage.  Today, was no exception.  There was  dance class to tend to and a wedding to photograph.  Luckily, I was scheduled to be at the wedding at 2pm so I dropped the Little Miss off and her Papa was kind enough to pick her up an hour later while I rushed to the ceremony.  It’s a balancing act and I really can’t imagine how we could have anymore kids and still keep up with the same routine.  Right now…I’m content.  I’m content with the one that we do have to focus all of our attention on making sure we’re raising her the way we want to raise her and making sure we don’t miss a beat when it comes to doing what we’re supposed to do.  Mya really does keeps us on our toes and it’s hard work…but at the end of the day…we really do love the parenting act.  The key is balance.  Balancing family…school…work…play…and all of the other things that makes everyday worth living for!

April 27, 2010 - 2:28 pm Titi Brandi - Such a beautiful ballerina. I can't wait to see her in her recital!

May 1, 2010 - 12:08 am MarieSam - OMG she looks so beautiful and grown up in these photos!! It's like I can already envision how she'll look in her teenage years ~ and ooooohhhh you and Al are in TRRROU-BLE!!!

Mya loves it when she can tag along on a photoshoot.  This usually happens when I photograph friends and/or family.  Mya loves the perks.  That day…it included a bowl of ice cream…a granola bar…and being in charge of a dog named Diesel.  From now on…you can refer to her as Mya: Doghandler Extraordinare.

Happy Earth Day!  We decided we wanted to plant a tree in celebration of Earth Day.  Mya learned how big of an impact trees are to our environment.  Thanks to Mya…there is one more tree on this planet to help protect the earth’s climate.  Go Mya!

It was Tony’s birthday…so we had a night out with the Arteaga’s at 300…a bowling alley in Anaheim.  I love that place.  It’s absolutely the place to be if you’re looking to bowl…play a little bit of pool…listen to some music…and hang out at the bar.   We headed on over to The Swinging Door after 300  for a few more drinks.  We were overdue…so thank you Tony for having a birthday and an excuse for us to come out! 😉  Good times!

April 21, 2010 - 8:40 pm Jessica - Looks like you all had fun! Happy Birthday Tony!

April 22, 2010 - 12:24 pm Ashley - I love the collage! It's perfect. You guys are so fun!

April 22, 2010 - 7:57 pm Titi Brandi - Now that I see the pictures, I'm sad I didn't go. I just wasn't feeling up to doing much and the girls didn't feel great, but I'm glad Kevin got to go and you guys had fun!

April 23, 2010 - 3:38 pm Navy Sou - There's always next time, Brandi! :)
